Welcome To The Miami Beach Rowing Club Site

The Ronald W. Shane Center is an organization dedicated "to promote and develop amateur water sports competition for adults, youth, students and under privileged individuals in South Florida." The charter of the Center is grounded in the beliefs of its founder, Dr. Ron Shane, that giving back to the community and providing resources to anyone willing to participate is the most important aspect of the organization. MBRC is a World Class, state of the art rowing facility with two boat houses, a Concept II ERG room and weight training room. MBRC includes:

Recent News

National Team Coach!

MBRC head coach Francisco has been invited to join the Junior National Team as the boys' sculling coach. His job is to identify talented rowers with potential for success on an international level. He will be hosting a high performance camp in Tempe to identify scullers for the Junior National Team. He will be traveling to France in the summer for the World Championships. Francisco is very proud to be invited to work with the National Team and we wish him every success however he is not leaving us! He will remain at MBRC and perform his National Team work in addition to directing our programs. Go MBRC!

Head of Indian Creek

Our annual Head of Indian Creek Regatta was a success once again. Thanks for all the volunteers, referees, participants and spectators for a fun, safe, and successful regatta. See you next year!
